THIS IS WHERE I LIVE

Let me introduce you my hometown. I live in Serres. Serres is a small town in northern Greece, in Macedonia. Macedonia is not country but a Greek territory at the north mainland of Greece and is located on the east, one hour away, of the co-capital of Greece Thessaloniki (or Salonika for foreigners). It has approximately 100.000 citizens. I told you. It 's small.
In the prefecture of Serres there is the biggest artificial lake in Europe. Kerkini lake. Thank God our nature is amazing. We have mountains, forests, rivers. We are lucky.
Well don 't think it's heaven. Serres has traffic problem, unemployment, some old buildings need renovation. There are no streets for bicycles (just few), no parkings and not many parks in the city.
Citizens are not only Greeks. There are people from many countries. There are people from Albania, England, Italy, Germany, China, arabians (not many) and people from countries-members of ex Soviet Union.
Serres is 45 minutes away from the beach. This is very good because every summer we have unbelievable heatwave. The winter is not so cold like northern Europe but believe me it 's still cold and we have a lot of humidity. The good think is that we have a ski center 30 minutes away form the center of the city on Lailias mountain.
The city has more tourism the last years because we have the best in Greece and one of the bests in Europe motordrome. It's not for F1 but they want to make it. We 'll see. The fact is that people love motor sports here. The result of this is more hotels, resorts and spas have been built the last years.
There are a lot of restaurants and the food here is really good. In some other Greek towns, islands and Athens is not so good. In the center of the city there is pedestrian zone with many shops and trademarks who are in all over the world. The prices? I think they could be lower but it' s not so expensive like touristic places.
There are some museums also. The archeological museum, some other folklore museums, museum of natural history and some very beautiful monasteries. Visitors must go to Alistrati 's Cave also.
Well if you want more information just Google it. I put some pictures i 've found on internet through Google. I hope you will enjoy. Some of them are from http://www.trekearth.com.

AND JUSTICE FOR ALL...

As i said in a previous article the last six months i am unemployed. The reason? One guy from the counting house did a big mistake and the foreman with other people said that the mistake was mine. The irony? My job had nothing to do with counting house. I was working in the warehouse (actually it was refrigeration) the company. Probably some people didn 't want me any more there. After five years in the company they discovered that i wasn 't good enough for my job.
I received today a phone call from a friend who told me that my ex supervisor in the warehouse had a serious car accident. So i called him to wish for a good recovery and to ask if he 's okay. My ex supervisor asked me if anyone from the company called me to offer my job back. I said no and if they will call me i won 't accept. Why? Because the guy who had serious car accident cannot work in the warehouse for one year and they need experienced employees. That means they will not do it because they like me. They are not in so good situation. Less experienced employees, more products, more deals, bigger warehouses. But who tells me they won 't treat me after one or two years exactly like the way they did six months ago?
My answer, if they will call me, will be "NO" for sure. They didn't care about me when they let me without job. They didn 't care if i owe money to the bank. Thay just said: "Take it like a good chance to develop youself to have advancement". Excuse me? Are you serious? Do you hear what you 're saying? Why should i help them? It 's time for pay back and justice for all.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO BE HAPPY?

Hi there guys... What 's up? I hope you 're doing well. I was wondering what do we really need (all of us) to be happy. Money? Recognition? Fame? Friends? Love? Family? It 's easy to answer but difficult to take some action. Right?
I saw a documentary on TV the other day. It was about poor people who live in south-eastern Asia. They don 't have washing machines, they don't have cars, they don 't have money, fancy clothes. They don 't belong to material world. They have their families, a boat to go fishing and that 's how they are earning some money, and they have their health. "These things are enough to be happy", said one local. Wow!
Believe me, i felt so jealous. The live simple with almost nothing and they are happy. They don 't care about celebrities, they don 't want to move in big cities, they don 't want fancy clothes. They are living not by the river but their houses are in the river. Their houses are not something special. They are handmade with few furnitures. They secret? They feel and they are free.

I AM BACK

Finally i 'm back. It 's been almost a year i didn 't post any article. Many things happened around here. The worst? I lost my job and i am unemployed for six months now. Yeah i know, it 's not the best thing. There are always some people who want the worst for you without any reason. They just want to destroy you for fun. They are happy when they see a person to suffer.
I am looking for a job right now but it 's not so easy to find one. You see tha global financial crisi is everywhere. I really missed posting stuff here, in this blog. I will start posting again. I have plenty of time right now thank to these people who made me to lose my job.
Well... that 's all for now folks. See ya soon! Cheers.
